How I Built an Email List of 817 Highly Targeted Email Subscribers in 3 Days
Greetings everyone! I hope everyone is doing well.
If you have been following along on my blog, you may have already realized that the last few posts of mine were about internet marketing.
Don’t worry, I have not forgotten about finances. I think this is just a phase I am going through.
In fact, I consider this my business now. As I mentioned earlier, the three pillars of finances are stocks, real estate and business.
I’m just glad I’m not sitting around the television doing nothing all day.
The money is in the email list
Anyhow, if you are someone who is serious about making money through the internet, you have probably heard that the money is in the email list. This is something that I definitely believe is true.
As you can probably tell from the title, I have ventured into some new territory that I have not been before. Prior to this experiment, I was finding it difficult to generate 10 emails per day.
So it definitely came as a shock to me when all of a sudden I was able to get 800+ email subscribers in 3 days. Now that’s not even the shocking part. Take a look at how my social media presence has grown in these 3 days.
Twitter followers = +313
Facebook page like = +190
Facebook group members = +22
Pinterest followers = +121
Youtube Subscribers = +134
This was all accomplished on day 3 of my promotion.
Do keep in mind now that as I am writing this post, I am on day 6 of my 30 day promotion and the current numbers have increased drastically since then!
You can expect me to report back the end result when I reach there.
What if I told you that you can generate the same results as me despite your experience level in internet marketing? Do I have your attention now? J
I am going to reveal how I did this step by step below.
Promoting a giveaway
In short, what I am doing now is running a simple giveaway on Facebook. The concept behind it is that people will enter their email address to participate in the giveaway and for extra entries to the draw, they have the option to perform certain social media tasks.
Here is a screenshot of what I am talking about:
In promoting this giveaway, I have created a simple but eye catching post on Facebook and have been posting them daily on various relevant Facebook groups daily. This takes no more than 20 minutes a day to do.
For example, my niche is in weight loss. All I do is spend 20 minutes a day joining and posting in weight loss groups. By posting in these relevant groups, I am generating highly targeted leads.
To confirm this, I have added a question on my giveaway page asking the participants what their fitness goals are and 80% of them have replied with “weight loss”. You can see this in the answer a question section of the image below.
That is it! It’s not even that hard right?
Will I be able to convert these leads into customers?
I know what you’re thinking. All of these people who are participating in my giveaway are freebie seekers who would never buy anything. I’m not going to lie, this is one of the main concern I had too. But how is this different from all of the other bloggers who are offering free e-books on their sites to get people to opt in.
I believe that weight loss is a very touchy subject that most people who is interested in it would want a solution that works. If I am able to come up with an offer that entices them to take action, I do not see a reason why they would not spend some money for life changing results.
